Consumer Programs

Dr. Sanford offers both on-site and online education programs for women and moms.   Each provides a mind-body approach to women’s health, addressing self-care and self-management strategies. In addition, she can assist your group or facility in expanding your online information about women’s mind-body health across the lifecycle, by providing written, audio and video content. Mind-Body Programs:

Living with Heart: Creating Health and Happiness includes an overview of health and fitness, understanding the mind-body connection, managing stress wisely, emotional health issues, and warning signs of depression anxiety, etc.  It also provides an introduction to yoga, relaxation, and meditation

Daughter-Mother-Woman provides a review of health challenges facing teenage, childbearing and menopausal women with clinically proven health enhancing solutions. It focuses on lifestyle and emotional health issues including depression, weight management, and co-dependency.

Mom’s Miracle Journey offers health and wellness advice for post-birth women who have infants and newborns on what to expect post-birth, coping strategies, and how to preserve their personal well-being. It also discusses the myths and realities of motherhood, relationship challenges, identity and self-esteem issues.

That Cupcake is Calling Me provides a weight management perspective on understanding how one’s relationship with food and body image and self-esteem issues lead to eating problems such as being overweight. It looks at emotional vs. physical hunger, changing eating habits, nutrition and fitness.

Don’t Let Depression Ruin Your Life offers an overview of factors contributing to depression including gender, warning signs and symptoms, self-management, treatment and prevention. It includes a discussion of myths about depression, obstacles to care, working with your healthcare provider, and steps to a full recovery.

Rekindling Romance is an overview of how to build and preserve emotional and physical intimacy through communication and relationship enhancement skills. It looks at understanding how male/female differences in communication may lead to relationship problems, how to achieve positive solutions to relationship discord, and creating relationships which last.

Relationships 101 is a program for both consumers and healthcare providers on improving communication skills, conflict resolution and family/team-building skills.  It looks at why relationship problems occur and how to repair them as well as troubleshooting potential pitfalls beforehand.
