A licensed psychologist for 35 years, Dr. Sanford offers individual, couples and family therapy.
Her approach combines understanding her client’s background and current life circumstances with teaching them stress reduction skills to ensure a full recovery. She looks at the mind-body health of a client to determine what they need to get well such as lifestyle choices regarding sleep, nutrition, exercise and stress reduction. If a client requires medicine for a full recovery, she works in collaboration with one of their medical providers or a psychiatrist if needed.
Her areas of expertise include Mood and Anxiety Disorders in Women; Anxiety Disorders including Panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and PTSD; Couples’ and Relationship Therapy; and Training in Stress Reduction skills through her Stress Less Live Better program. She offers Stress Reduction Coaching to clients who are recovered from their anxiety, depression or other mental health conditions, and still want to learn and practice stress reduction skills to maintain their health and well-being and prevent future mental health problems.
Dr. Sanford also provides counseling and life skills coaching to individuals who are having stress-related and life change issues including divorce, loss of a loved one, work transitions, family problems and parenting concerns.
